For Destin Summers, wrestling ran in the family. Destin took up the sport at the young age of 4, following in the footsteps of his father and brother and never looking back. He won the Five Belt at just age 8, and today he is 16 years old and still determined to continue his success as he prepares for another exciting wrestling season.
Destin is currently a sophomore at Snake River High School and training at the Sons of Thunder Academy in Blackwater, Idaho. At the academy, Destin looks to his coach, Jacob Eck, for support and motivation to work and train as hard as he can. With Jacob’s help, Destin is constantly striving to improve. As a long-term goal, he would like to one day wrestle for a Division 1 school.
Over his entire wrestling career, Destin has received close to thirty special awards, with five of them being from the last year alone. He also placed fourth at the Fargo All American tournament last year. Destin also attends all of the RMN events he can, and has won the Freakshow, Monster Match Nationals, and Terminator tournaments. When asked what keeps him going to RMN events, he replied that it is the “tough competition.” Destin is always looking to challenge himself and likes to test his skills against the best. With his hard-working attitude and desire to keep improving, Destin will likely be adding more wins to his record this year, and will be someone for the competition to look out for.
